In natura si osservano due tipi di carica elettrica: positiva e negativa. Le cariche di segno opposto si attraggono, mentre le cariche di segno uguale si respingono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;unit\u00e0 di misura della carica elettrica nel Sistema Internazionale \u00e8 il coulomb (C). Un coulomb corrisponde alla carica di 6,241509994\u00d710^18 elettroni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le cariche elettriche sono generate, microscopicamente, dagli elettroni e dai protoni presenti negli atomi.
